It has come to my attention, although this has happened before a lot, that Bronies are upset  over something big. Something major.

What is it? It’s so horribly upsetting that I’m not even sure what trigger warnings to use.

Nah, I’m just kidding. Bronies are mad because “generalizing” and, that after some incidents, the fandom isn’t looking so good. That the worst thing is that the person wasn’t careful to mention that not ALL Bronies are like that, that nobody mentioned the good Bronies do.

Look, people know that. Bronies yap about it a lot. But do Bronies ever, an I mean EVER, mention the bad things and try to shut the so-called bad vocal minority down? Nope. Whenever there is any objection, it’s silenced with “We’re not all like that!”

Why? Well, I’ll level with you.

Most of you are white. Most of you are male. Most of you are cisgendered. Most of you are straight.

Most of you are goddam spoiled by the community.

Not that cis/straight/white men can’t have their own incidents of difficulty, but as a whole? You’re the default, everyone is supposed to love you. You can get away with making these terrible jokes/threats and have others laugh at them, because others are like you and will laugh at them. A slur here or there won’t be directed at you so it’s okay to use, funny even.

Well, that’s simply not true for a hell of a lot of people, and maybe it’s time to think of others for once.

Saying “We’re not all like that! Admit that a lot of Bronies are great.” is saying “Ignore the problem because it’s not directed at me, now stop being upset that you/your friend is being bullied and talk about how great the group who bullied you is.” Anyone here bullied in high school? As in, bullied and made outcast? Yeah, not going to go and talk about how great your classmates are, right? Nor are you obligated to.

So are Bronies that great? Prove it. Get over your ego and call people out. Ban them from your boards.

Make the fandom for EVERYONE, like it claims to be.
