i hadn’t considered mind control before; sounds like a valid theory, given how vriska affected the kids before we even met her. in my opinion, i think jane just hesitated/slipped up on her own, though

No but seriously when that update first came out I assumed it was mind control WAAAY before I assumed it was Jane being a total numbskull. Not because I think Jane is incapable of being a numbskull, but because she seems physically unable to correct herself and be like “YO. JAKE NO, I WAS BEING DUMB. LET’S MAKE OUT.”
